A wine tour in Munich? – Yes!

Discover a Munich before its time as the capital of beer!
A time when not beer, but wine was the drink No. 1 in all Bavaria.

Wine Tour Munich is a guided walking tour through the Old Town of Munich followed by a wine tasting.

This tour is unique in Munich. It brings up the city’s forgotten wine history: where were the places to go in medieval Munich and which wines were drunk? What was the King’s favourite drink and were there even vines planted in the city?

After the tour, a short ride by public transport takes you to the wine tasting.

A welcome drink starts the tasting, with three white and three red wines. These are from grape varieties or wine regions which were popular in medieval Munich – and are still today…

For lovers of wine or/and Munich – and for all who like to have a look at Munich through the wine glass…

I am from Bavaria, but my studies in tourism management brought me to Munich. When I decided to stay, I realised that I didn’t know anything about my new home town. To change this, I completed a city guide training program.

I found Munich as exciting as wine, which inspired me to give a different view on the city: Munich as a town with wine tradition, long before it became famous for its beer...
